Hi! I haven’t written for a while. I’ve been really busy with my Etsy site. I also did some traveling. I thought of some new jewelry ideas, too.
I’ve been wanting to do some fancy wire wrapping. I though it would be best if I received some instruction. So, I took a class at the Bead Show in Pasadena. I learned a lot that day! I can use a drill to twist wire. I bought a drill there. It’s programmed to be very slow moving so it doesn’t twist it too much or break the wire. I also bought a pair of magnifying glasses that I put over my regular glasses. They certainly help with the close-up work!
I chose an orange glass cabachon to wire wrap, because I’ve been wearing a lot of orange during the spring and summer. Here it is, below. I think I had some success with it. A free form wire wrap is used on the front. Round orange crystals are wire wrapped at the top with swirls of wire at the end.
I’m really proud of my Etsy site! I have over 70 items there. I’d love for you to see all the items I’ve been working on. Lately, I’ve been making Halloween earrings. I’ll put several of them in my blog during my next entry. If you would like to make a purchase on my Etsy site, I am giving a 10% discount to first time customers.
